Who is this Security Career Expo aimed at?
Everyone, including anyone who is currently enrolled in a security-related college or university program (e.g., Protection, Security, Investigation, Police Foundations, Emergency Management, etc.). People who are thinking about security as a future career, as well as those who are currently working in security and looking to advance their security career.
Do I need to know anything about security?
Absolutely not! Security Career Expo is designed to give people who are new to security the opportunity to explore possible career paths and learn from leading experts who will share their stories about how they began their career in the security industry and how they have achieved success.
My daughter has not applied to a security education program yet. Is this event for her?
Yes! Everyone – no matter the stage they are at in their pursuit of a career in security – is welcome and will benefit from the expert advice available. Yes! Security Career expo is designed to help you discover where your post-secondary education can take you and help you pick a security discipline that will lead to the career you want. Prospective employers will be available to offer advice and help guide attendees so they can begin to achieve their career goals. A variety of security careers will be discussed, presenting options attendees may not have known are available to them.
